I am convinced that I am the only mother who doesn't care what she looks like when she drops her children off at school. I savor every moment of sleep. I roll out of bed, get my daughters ready for school and off we go. I don't wear my pajamas in the drop off lane, but it sure would be nice.
Most mornings I come home from the drop off, run upstairs to change into exercise clothes and then take a long walk through my neighborhood. Why would I shower if I'm going to workout as soon as I get home? Yet there I am every morning at the drop off surrounded by perfectly manicured, perfectly coordinated moms who remembered to comb their hair before heading out the door. I understand the moms who are headed straight to work, but I've never been a woman who feels the need to be "done up" to head to the grocery store. I would much rather come home and have a shower in peace and quiet.
I don't judge the moms who are already prepared to take on the day before I've even thought about what I'm going to wear. I'm comfortable enough with myself, though, that I don't care if they judge me.

I know exactly what you mean! I have always played the twin card but the quad card?! Of course you deserve the right to shower in peace :)
I don't have a multiples card to play; I just don't care that much about what people think of what I look like when I'm out running errands - I suppose you could say that I'm unabashedly lazy...
Heck, I go to work that way. :)
Maybe we all need to form a school where you're not allowed to dress up for the drop off LOL!
I am guilty of driving up to the bus stop in my monkey pajama pants. If we walk up, I put something a little less embarrassing for my 12 year old...rarely is my hair brushed, never are my teeth brushed....there are mornings when I have things to do that I try to shower by 6 but those tend to be the mornings we are sprinting up to the bus stop. hehehe...
If I have to be somewhere after drop off I shower and look presentable.
Unless they are going to work, getting all dressed up to drop your kids off is crazy! On my days off I usually don't shower until Ry is taking a nap. Nice long showers with no interruptions is the best! I say good for you. :)
Today is a bummer, though. I have to work so I had to get up early and get all of us ready. The teachers won't know what to do when they see me arrive in makeup LOL!
