It's that time of year when my daughters have to do their IEP evaluation for preschool. I had an interesting conversation with the speech therapist about Tortilla's evaluation. Part of the eval required Tortilla to point to various parts of her body. When asked, she successfully pointed to her arm, forehead, eyebrows, etc. Then the therapist asked her to point to her wrist. Tortilla looked confused. Right about this time, the therapist needed to adjust her bra strap. Tortilla apparently took this as a hint. She smiled, pulled the top of her shirt down and proudly pointed to her nipple, exclaiming "Wrist." Oh, but wait it gets better. She then added "My mommy has a big wrist." (Just one?!) Never a dull moment....

OMGOSH!!!!!!! That is stinkin' FUNNY!!!! Did the speech therapist DIE of laughter!!!! I would be crying!!!
She could barely tell me the story because she was laughing so much!
HA!!! Thanks for the laugh!
I remember my grandmother telling about something I said when I was maybe 3 or 4, after seeing her get dressed one morning. I commented how big her "muscles" were, and said she must be a lot "stronger" than my mom. :)
That's hilarious! If I were the speech therapist, I know it would have taken a boatload of self control not to laugh at that one. So how'd Tortilla do with the evaluation? Hopefully she didn't get docked too much for that very clever answer. :o)
I think overall her evaluation went well (I'll get the results in another week or so) but it may take awhile to convince her where her wrist is really located!
Bwahahaha! I love it.
I keep telling the story to everyone I know. Eventually Tortilla's going to figure it out and be really mad that I'm retelling it!
LOL!!! I love it. I think we have to become 'above embarassment' if we're going to have kids. If only it were really possible.
Thanks for my morning laugh—that is the cutest story I've heard in a long time! Hee!
lol gotta love kids...
